What's new
RPDive is in open beta. That means you can play and build today, and that we are still fixing things you may run into, mostly in how well characters remember a long story. We ship small updates often, so this page changes often. Found something odd, or have an idea? Write to [email protected], or tell us in our Discord or Telegram group (both linked in the footer of every page).
What we're working on now
- Remembering very long stories. Characters keep track of a lot already, but in stories that run for hundreds of turns they can still lose a detail or mix one up. We are working on that next.
- Things the storyteller gets wrong. Sometimes the narrator makes up a detail that contradicts what really happened in your story, then keeps insisting on it. We want your story's own events to win.
- Private conversations staying private. What you say to one character alone should not turn up in another character's mouth unless they could have heard it.
- More fixes from our long test stories. We play very long stories ourselves, write down where they go wrong, and fix the most noticeable problems first.
v0.1.12 (17 October 2026): Sign in with Google or Discord
You can now sign in with Google or Discord, and connect either one to your account from Connected accounts in the account menu.
v0.1.11 (16 October 2026): Crypto payments
You can now buy credits with crypto on rpdive.red: any pack, in the coin you choose.
v0.1.10 (16 October 2026): Credits on rpdive.red, Dive Points and creator tools
rpdive.red now sells credits too: the same packs at the same prices, paid in the crypto coin you choose. The credits arrive once the payment is confirmed. Each site's wallet now shows only the credits you can spend there, and you can ask for a refund on a purchase from your wallet within 14 days.
Paid credits you spend on your stories now earn Dive Points: 10 for every 1,000 credits. Keep them; the shop where you spend them opens later.
Follow a creator and switch Explore to "Creators I follow" to see only their worlds. Creators can now reply to comments on their worlds and pin one to the top, anyone can react to a comment with an emoji, and the Studio shows how many players, sessions, turns, likes and comments each world has.
v0.1.8 (16 October 2026): Memory you can count on, likes and comments
Dates you mention in a story are now remembered on the right day. Tell a character "Monday after next" and they will expect you then, not on some other Monday. When you ask a character to recall something, their retelling no longer replaces what was actually agreed. When you change an arrangement ("make it three cases, not two"), the old version is dropped and only the new one is kept.
Worlds can now be liked and commented on, a small start on talking about the stories you love; we will grow it based on what you ask for. A short guided tour now greets you the first time you open a story, and a "?" button replays it any time.
Paying by card is now open to everyone on rpdive.com. Promo codes now work on both sites, and their credits are for the site where you redeem the code. Plus fixes to undoing a turn (it now keeps what you told the characters in the turns you keep), and to characters' pronouns (you can set them on a character, and the story uses them).
v0.1.7 (11 October 2026): Credits and the story clock
Credits are now simpler: $1 buys 1,000 credits, and the prices and per-turn rates are listed on a new Economy page and in your wallet, with notice before a rate changes. Credit packs and a monthly plan are checked out on a secure payment page, and you can invite friends or redeem promo codes for more credits. When your credits run low, a quiet line tells you roughly how many turns are left, and the story stops cleanly at zero.
Every world now has a clock. You can see the day and time, and characters know what hour it is and what you missed. You can pass time on purpose with /wait or /sleep, or with the buttons beside the message box. In play you can also write the last reply again (/regenerate), replace it with your own text (/edit), and look at what the story remembers and correct it. Characters now bring up things from much earlier in the story and recall moments they shared with you.
If a message asks for more than a world's rating allows, it is not sent, you are not charged, and you are told why. Creators can set the start time and day names of their world in the Studio.
Still rough: typed time lengths in ordinary sentences ("two hours later") are not understood yet. Use /wait or /sleep for now. Buying credits was prepared in this release and opened to everyone in v0.1.8.
v0.1.2 (29 September 2026): A new home page and better settings
The home page is now a tower of floors you scroll or swipe through: your running stories first, then trending worlds and a floor for each genre. Explore shows every world in one grid with sorting, genre chips and tags. Opening a world shows its card in place, and a shared world link opens the same card. Creator profiles show their worlds and a short bio.
Chat settings are much richer: text size and font (including a dyslexia-friendly one), book-style prose or chat bubbles, high-contrast or soft colours, and the world's cover as a backdrop. You can pick a lighter look if your device struggles with the animated one.
v0.1.0 (26 September 2026): Open beta
RPDive opened its doors. You pick a world, pick or make a character, and play a story told by an AI narrator. The Studio lets you build your own worlds and characters.
